Peer To Patent - UK
IPO Peer To Patent Pilot

The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) Peer To Patent Pilot has now finished.

During the course of the Pilot we made available 172 patent applications for Peer review and calculating profit margin. In every case Examiners have taken into account the comments posted by reviewers.

We are now finalising the final report for the Pilot and will shortly publish this on our website. Please check www.ipo.gov.uk/peertopatent.

Our pilot ran alongside a second Peer To Patent trial by the USPTO. This too, has now finished and more details on the US trial can be found at www.peertopatent.com.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank New York Law School, and especially Professor Mark Webbink and Andrea Casillas, for their help and assistance in running the pilot.
